Dr. Anna Pidluzhna, Dr. Pavlo Stakhira and Dr. Volodymyr Fitio of Lviv Poytechnic National University (LPNU) have recently completed a two-month secondment with Dr. Sergiy Kostjuk at the Research Institute for Physical Chemistry Problems of the Belarussian State University (BSU) in the context of the MEGA project.
The visit provided opportunities for the LPNU and BSU scientists to collaborate on the following activities:
The synthesised acceptor monomers were used to produce copolymers which have potential as TADF emitters. The photophysical and electrical properties of these polymers will be studied next.
The visit provided opportunities for the LPNU and BSU scientists to collaborate on the following activities:
- Synthesise of the new acceptor monomer 1-(2-Benzoylphenyl)-1H-pyrrole-2,5-dione and confirmation of its structure using 1H, 13C NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry.
- Synthesise of the new acceptor monomer 1-(4-Benzoylphenyl)-1H-pyrrole-2,5-dione and confirmation of its structure using 1H, 13C NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry.
- Development of a theory for a pure reflection lattice with Bragg conditions to help develop novel materials for synthesis and application in distributed feedback DFB lasers.
